And yet I still care

It’s cold and I’m burning.
Smoke’s everywhere.
I don’t even have a heart.
And yet, I still care .

Listen Sun, don’t shine on me.
I need no shadow here.
Hey stars, don’t cheer me up.
I need no sky clear.

It’s merry time and I’m moaning but I moan.
Sadness everywhere.
I don’t even have a heart.
And yet I still care.

  1. why are people keen on continuing their misery?? to rise after falling is no way an ordinary feat. here’s your chance to prove that you are great. do it!

    There are times, when we don’t want to prove anything! 🙂

    @Nita

    Of course I am cheerful. All the time. 🙂

  4. Brilliant vignette. line 9 somehow did not rhyme with the rest(by rhyme i mean the beat of the poem). The contrasting flows upholding a single leitmotif was especially beautiful.

    Hey, a comment from you on a poem actually means a lot bro! Seriously. Thanks for saying that you liked it. I changed the ninth line slightly though I am still not sure if it suits the flow!

    Thanks again.
